Terms of service
These terms cover your use of homeskool, a web app for learning to DJ, run by homeskool. By using it you agree to them.
The service
homeskool is software you use in your browser: ear-training and mixing drills, a structured course, practice decks, a personal track library and leaderboards. Most of it works without an account. An account lets you sync progress across devices and appear on leaderboards.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes the daily drill and Week 1 of the course. Pro is a subscription that adds an AI practice coach, Weeks 2–8, every genre, all of Gear Lab and your progress history. The coach's plans are generated by an AI model from your scores; treat them as suggestions. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page and may change; if we remove something you pay for, you can cancel and ask for a refund of the unused period.
Payment
Pro is sold by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoice; their checkout terms apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings → plan → Manage billing, and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds
New subscribers can get a full refund within 14 days of their first payment. The refund policy has the details.
Keys and packs
Keys are earned by playing and can unlock genre packs inside the app. They can't be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and have no value outside homeskool.
Your account and your files
- Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Only upload audio you have the right to use. Your library is private to your account; we store it to sync it to your devices and don't share or publish it.
- You can delete your account and its data any time in Settings.
Fair use
Don't attack or overload the service, automate play to game leaderboards, or use it to break the law. We may remove leaderboard entries or close accounts that do.
No warranty, limited liability
homeskool is provided as is. We work to keep it available and accurate but can't promise it will always be. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll show it in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use homeskool after that means you accept it.
